Texas RioGrande Legal Aid
Founded in 1970 to represent Texas farmworkers, TRLA has grown into the nation’s second largest legal aid provider and the largest in Texas. TRLA provides free civil legal services to residents in 68 Southwest Texas counties, and represents migrant and seasonal farm workers throughout the state and in six other southern states. TRLA also operates public defender programs that serve at least 10 Texas counties, representing low-income and indigent people accused of felonies, misdemeanors, and juvenile crimes.
TRLA serves about 23,000 clients each year. However, more than 2.6 million residents of Southwest Texas are considered eligible for TRLA services, a ratio of almost 21,000 potential clients per legal aid lawyer. As a result, thousands of low-income Texans still lack access to civil legal representation.

Our agency is also required to raise local funds to match the federally allocated funds each year. SWART contains a fleet of fifty-two (52) vehicles and operates in an eight (8) county service area. Over 150,000 one-way trips are performed on an annual basis traveling over 1,490,000 miles. SWART’s fleet of vehicles contains sizes from low floor mini-vans to large passenger buses that can seat up to 28 riders. All of the vehicles are wheelchair accessible and are equipped with on-board security cameras. SWART is unique in its vehicle maintenance program as all maintenance is performed in-house at two locations, Uvalde and Eagle Pass.
Local and out-of-area routes are provided in each county based on the needs of the riders. Door-to-door, deviated routes and para-transit services are offered throughout the region. Although SWART provides unique transit alternatives to its riders, it has set a state-wide precedence in the area of coordination. Through inter-local agreements with the City of Del Rio Transportation program and a close relationship with inter-city providers, SWART is able to offer seamless modes of transportation for residents in the region to anywhere in the United States.

Unite Us The Only end-to-end solution for Social Care
Referral Service - Unite Us https://uniteus.com/
With Unite Us, you can build and scale your coordinated care network, track outcomes together, identify service gaps and at-risk populations, and most importantly, empower members of your community to take ownership of their own health.
Network partners are connected to each other through Unite Us‘ shared technology platform. Unite Us’ intuitive platform supports meaningful collaboration, community-wide care coordination, and secure, bidirectional data sharing.
Once a network partner identifies a person’s social needs, they can instantly send a secure electronic referral to the most appropriate network partner(s) for that specific service. Partners involved in that person’s care will have visibility into whether or not the referral is accepted and once accepted, whether or not that person received the services and what happened as a result. Unite Us onboards and trains all partners who use the platform to ensure consistency, compliance, and accountability to the network.
Network partners may include community-based organizations (CBOs), safety net health care providers, health systems, insurers, and other groups looking to better support people to achieve healthy outcomes. Network partners can choose to participate in whatever way works best for them and can change how they participate in the network over time.

We Can Help. Each person’s journey through grief is unique. Let our staff walk alongside you through yours.
“The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas was founded in 1997 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving children affected by the loss of a loved one. We serve thousands of children, caregivers, and community members every year through ongoing peer support groups, individual and family counseling as well as professional education and training. All our grief support services are provided at no cost to the families served. As the demand for our services has continued to grow, we have responded by adding, adapting, and enhancing our programs to fully meet the needs of children and families living with grief. In a culture that does not talk about grief and bereavement and in a world that might not understand, we do.
