“The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas was founded in 1997 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving children affected by the loss of a loved one. We serve thousands of children, caregivers, and community members every year through ongoing peer support groups, individual and family counseling as well as professional education and training. All our grief support services are provided at no cost to the families served. As the demand for our services has continued to grow, we have responded by adding, adapting, and enhancing our programs to fully meet the needs of children and families living with grief. In a culture that does not talk about grief and bereavement and in a world that might not understand, we do.
